First December Check-In

Yep, it’s December. Another year almost gone. Hope it has been a good one for my fellow ROWers.

A friend of mine has asked me to edit the companion Bible study for her novel. We work together on Write! On, The Word Guild’s bi-weekly news bulletin, so she knows my work. Quite an honour!

I’ll probably connect with Carolyn this week and begin the final edit of her manuscript.

I have to get the last chapter of Deb’s book finished tomorrow so we can discuss it Tuesday afternoon.

I’ve written and will be casting and directing two Christmas skits at our church. Better get busy with that. Hope to have the casting done this week, as well as setting up practice times.

If I get the essay for my course written this week and the research paper started, I should be able to have both finished by next week. Then, I can continue with the lengthy open book exam.

I hope to get a couple of picture book ideas submitted before the middle of the month. Come 2012, I hope to write a new picture book manuscript every couple of weeks. I best add that to my To Do list before I forget.

I plan to have my children’s chapter book written and edited by next June. That will give me six months to find a home for it. (Another item for my To Do list.)

There’s a webinar on making tables in Word Press that I want to watch again. Working with them will be one of my responsibilities as a member of the Write! Canada PR Team. I best add that to my planner.

Again, I have two exercise sessions scheduled with my workout partner this coming week. I’m starting to miss regular exercise. I worked out every morning when my munchkins were little. I’m sure I can devote thirty minutes each morning to working out. I know I’ll have way more energy if I do.

When I declared that 2012 will be The Year of No Excuses, one of my friend’s commented that she hoped I’d still be encouraging others. (This was The Year of Encouragement.) She needn’t worry. I hope I will always, always, always look for ways to encourage.

May each of you experience the wonder of this special time of year.
