Procrastination Beware

I’ve been making some headway in long-neglected areas. Yay!

Procrastination is Losing Ground

I’ve begun my essay for my doula certification. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part.

I’ve gotten back to reading for the course each day as well.

I’ve written two picture book manuscripts this year, one based on a character from my children’s chapbook and the other about natural childbirth.

Thanks to Les Lindquist, we figured out a way around a problem I was having working on the Write! Canada website. I’ve sorted some of my emails, and now I can get back at it. June will be here before we know it.

I exercised with my workout buddy today and have another session scheduled for Friday.

I’ve begun to pop by some fellow ROWers’ sites.

Editing

I may have a little more to do on Laura’s manuscript and a fair amount on Carolyn’s (if she decides to fictionalize it). I’m waiting to hear from both of them.

Work continues on Deb’s book. It is my hope to get the reffing chapter done this week before Deb and I talk on Friday.

The managing director was all for dividing the responsibilities, so I’ll be assembling and editing the Write! On news bulletin every other week, and we’ll hunt for someone to update the website weekly.

Writing

Plans are looking good for finishing the essay and research paper for my course by the end of January.

The characters in my chapbook must be getting tired of life in suspended animation. I really should help them out.

I intend to write at least two picture books per month. I’m thinking of upping it to four, but don’t tell anyone.

My blogging is pretty much on schedule.

Submissions

I intend to do some market research tonight. My daughter is an illustrator. Perhaps, I’ll recruit her to illustrate one of my picture books and look into self-publishing. Decisions. Decisions.

Reading

Skills Development – If wishing only made it so.

Blogging for Books – I’ve started Mercy Come Morning. So far, I like it – and should have it done in two/two-and-a-half weeks if I just putter through.

Booksneeze – I’m at the point where I don’t want to put down The Soul Reader until I’ve completed it, but I have a few other things I really should be doing.

Exercise & Fitness

I must start eating better.
