Sunshine streams from heav’n above,
Shining forth its light and love,
Warming rays and giving light,
Chasing darkness of the night.
Winter’s clouds can’t hide its power,
It gets stronger by the hour,
Didn’t know it held me down,
The dreary grey was all around.
But now that spring is on its way,
It brings a smile to each new day,
I might not miss the hour we lose,
Ling’ring light my heart infuse.
With joy so real I feel its glow,
Lifting skyward, this I know,
The sunshine is a gift most grand
From the Father’s loving hand.
He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down (Psalm 104:19 NIV).
