Winning an argument or being right in God’s sight?
Avoiding conflict or engaging for the good of the other person?
Putting yourself first or seeking to be a blessing?
Instant gratification or heavenly rewards?
Accepting everyone’s worldview or being accepted by the Lord?
Avoiding tragedy or resting in the Heavenly Father’s love to see you through?
Darting here and there or being still and getting to know the God of the Bible?
Reading the latest bestseller or the Holy Scriptures?
Sleeping in on Sunday or meeting with God’s family?
Fifteen minutes of fame or an eternity in Paradise?
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:19-21 ESV).
