February 11, 2013

My hubby shared . . . his cold. Sunday was a wash. I vegged in front of the TV all day. Thankfully, I feel considerably better today – though I’m thinking I should have purchased shares in the Kleenex company.

Freelance Goals

~ complete co-writing manuscript with Roger (We’re working on the final chapter, definitely getting close.)

~ edit Michael’s second manuscript (There’s no specific deadline. It’s nice to have freedom to work on this as I can.)

~ work with Pirkko to bring her novel from idea to submittable manuscript (We had a great chat on the phone. She has determined the bare bones of her plot and is going to work on character bios and fleshing out her storyline before we talk again.)

Writing Goals (this round)

~ blog/post five times per week including ROW check-ins (I think five times per week will be much more reasonable.)

~ blogging to include at least one book review per month (If you have a book review you would like to post/re-post on my blog, feel free to get in touch.)

~ weekly blog posts for Monday Motivation (on track)

~ write at least one paper for my certification course (I hope to get this done before the end of Round 1.)

~ write one guest posts per month (With everything else I have on the go, I’m not sure this is going to happen, but instead of eliminating the goal altogether, I’ve backed off from two to one.)

~ polish a picture book manuscript every other month (I’m still hoping to do so this month.)

~ write a short piece for a paying market each month (We’ll see.)

Submission Goals (ongoing)

~ guest post (perhaps)

~ picture book manuscript (February) (The month isn’t even half over. There’s still time.)

~ short piece (It’s time to check the Chicken Soup site again.) (I still need to do this.)

~ read one book per month (I’m still reading Shah Wharton’s Finding Esta and Kevin Albright’s Finding My Father.)

ROW-Specific Goals

~ pop by a number of my fellow ROWers sites each week (I want to visit more of my fellow ROWers this week.)

~ visit the ROW FB pages (I rarely visit at this point.)

Fitness Goals

~ choose new music for class (I’ve got a couple of CDs I’ll be using for this series of classes, but I’ll be looking for others for next time round and for the second class I’ll be teaching.)

~ do more cardio (when this cold clears up)

~ visit the gym two to three times a week (I’ve been thinking about it, but again, I’ll have to wait to get healthy again.)

~ visit my trainer once per week until I’m done my sessions (I’ve given my remaining sessions to my daughter. Now, I have to be disciplined enough to keep at it on my own.)

~ eat better (I’ve still got a ways to go.)

~ drink more water (One upside of this cold: To stay hydrated, I’ve been drinking more water. Yay?)

~ eat dessert only on the weekend (Let’s make that twice per week.)

If you’d like to chat between check-ins, pop by the Facebook group. And if fitness goals made the list for 2013, we’d love to have you over at the ROW80 Fitness group.
