Cold is pretty much gone. Yay!

Freelance Goals

~ complete co-writing manuscript with Roger (wrapping it up)

~ edit Michael’s second manuscript (looking to get a fair bit done this week)

~ work with Pirkko to bring her novel from idea to submittable manuscript (waiting for our next phone visit)

Writing Goals (this round)

~ blog/post five times per week including ROW check-ins (Perhaps it’s time to create a blogging schedule again.)

~ blogging to include at least one book review per month (You’d think having a cold would be a good time to do some reading, but I was too wiped to do much more than veg after my work was “done” each day.)

~ weekly blog posts for Monday Motivation (Life always provides writing prompts. Now, if I would just use some of the prompts I come up with as a springboard for my own writing.)

~ write at least one paper for my certification course (When I’m done editing for Roger and Mike, I’ll turn my attention to this.)

~ write one guest post per month (As the second month of the year rapidly speeds by, I question the wisdom of this goal, but I’m not ready to scrap it just yet.)

~ polish a picture book manuscript every other month (My daughter is developing a new illustrating style. She would like to draw pics for the book we created together. I’ll have to explore our publication options. I also want to fire off at least one other idea this month to agents/publishers.)

~ write a short piece for a paying market or enter a contest every other month (We’ll see.)

Submission Goals (ongoing)

~ guest post (perhaps)

~ picture book manuscript (February)

~ short piece or contest entry (To make up for missing January, I’ll try to do this in February as well.)

~ read one book per month (I’m still reading Shah Wharton’s Finding Esta and Kevin Albright’s Finding My Father. While I want to keep reading these stories, I’ve found I like physical books better and have started The Doula.)

ROW-Specific Goals

pop by a number of my fellow ROWers sites each week (Thanks to this dumb cold and just plain busyness, I’ve fallen behind. I’ll try to do better this week.)

~ visit the ROW FB pages (Perhaps I need to schedule this. Let’s say three times per week.)

Fitness Goals

~ choose new music for class (Because we chat and don’t keep a steady rhythm, I think I’ll just play whatever suits me each week. It’s easier that way.)

~ do more cardio (Delay, delete, or do?)

~ visit the gym two to three times a week (“To dream the impossible dream . . .”)

~ visit my trainer once per week until I’m done my sessions (I’ve given my remaining sessions to my daughter. Now, I have to be disciplined enough to keep at it on my own.)

~ eat better (What Sugar Crisp for breakfast isn’t eating better? Oh, shucks!)

~ drink more water (Excuse me while I grab a water bottle.)

~ eat dessert only on the weekend (If I keep more fruit on hand, I should be able to make this my go-to when I want something snack-like.)
